Gentlemen (Hi Ben),I'm involved with the data management group for a large ($500M) 10 year project --> Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative. The project involves 100's of researchers and many of them are numerical modelers. We recommended that project modelers consider serving their model output through a TDS. None of them had any experience with TDS so our group offered to provide them with a quick-start guide to TDS.We are aware of the TDS tutorial and other fine resources UNIDATA offers, however, we felt we would learn TDS more deeply if we tried to write a tutorial ourselves. Dr. Steve Baum (Texas A&M University) took on the task to write a THREDDS for Novices. Although it's a work in progress - it is sufficiently complete that we intend to present it to the modelers in two weeks. We invite you to take a look at it. Comments corrections, and suggestions are welcomed. We hope you will feel it is a beneficial contribution to the community. For the time being - you can find it here. http://stommel.tamu.edu/~baum/thredds2.htmlBest Regards,Matt+---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+| Dr. Matthew K.
