THREDDS motherlode server(s)

This archive contains answers to questions sent to Unidata support through mid-2025. Note that the archive is no longer being updated. We provide the archive for reference; many of the answers presented here remain technically correct, even if somewhat outdated. For the most up-to-date information on the use of NSF Unidata software and data services, please consult the Software Documentation first.

The THREDDS data server is now running on our "operational" port:

 http://motherlode.ucar.edu:8080/thredds/

In case you have gotten used to using port 8088, that will continue to be our 
"development" server, and it will go up and down as needed (its down at the 
moment).

So from now on, use 8080 when you want the stable version, 8088 only for for 
testing the latest snapshot.
