[python #TQG-316766]: Metpy import error

Apologies for the delayed response.

If you're still having a problem here, I would recommend creating a new 
environment and installing MetPy there:

    conda create -n metpy_env python=3.12
    conda activate metpy_env
    conda install -c conda-forge metpy
