[python #NYL-375213]: MetPy in AWIPS

Hello, and thanks for reaching out!

MetPy is not currently relied upon in either Unidata or NWS AWIPS. We know of 
people using it for their own products or applications, and some have expressed 
interest about including MetPy functionality in future AWIPS releases. We also 
hear of people using it individually or for in-office support/awareness in some 
WFOs (MetPy Mondays also seems pretty popular in those parts!) Either way, we 
are not concretely aware of how widespread MetPy's usage may be operationally.
