HP, I would have expected to see matplotlib in "Anaconda3\lib\site-packages" rather than "AppData\Roaming\Python\Python36\site-packages\". I don't think that's the problem, though. My guess is your installation of matplotlib is somehow corrupted, so hopefully reinstalling will help. Did you install matplotlib (and metpy) using conda or pip?
