SSEC (the authors of McIDAS) now support McIDAS-X on Windows NT
using a package called Interix.  Unidata McIDAS is a superset
of SSEC McIDAS - which means we add functionality and fix bugs
before we send it out to our sites.

Unidata has not yet tested the NT port out, nor have we made a 
Unidata distribution.  Tom Yoksas (our McIDAS-X support person)
is out of town until late next week, but you can view a discussion
