Hello, Can you try the latest version (4.4.5) or the 'master' development branch? I will see what I can find in the meantime, but I do know there have been some recent changes that may have corrected this behavior. I will follow up with what I find, and please let me know if either 4.4.5 or 'master' (either available from https://github.com/Unidata/netcdf-fortran/releases) seem to correct this issue.
