Hello, I am not experienced with ArcMap or Panoply, so you might have better luck contacting their support staff. If you exame the netCDF file using the 'ncdump' command line utility, do the units look like you'd expect, or do they say 'degrees_north' and 'degrees_east'? This will tell us if the issue is in the netCDF file itself, or if the problem is in the software.
