[netCDF #AZF-978815]: netcdf binaries

Sorry about that.  The old binary distributions that were in that 
directory are deprecated, unsupported, and have bugs that are fixed 
in more recent releases.

Binary distributions for C-based netCDF libraries and utilities are no
longer supported or maintained, except for certain platforms for which
the software is difficult to build from source, such as Windows.  For
other platforms, please use the source distribution and follow these
instructions:

  http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/netcdf/docs

Instead of the netcdf-3.6.3 release, from June 2008, I recommend getting 
the latest release of the netCDF C library, version 4.3.0, from

  https://github.com/Unidata/netcdf-c/releases/tag/netcdf-4.3.0

I'm correcting the web documentation that indicated version 3.6.3 is still
supported, so thanks for reporting that problem.
