Hi Ghansham, What exactly do you mean by "raw data?" One of our developers is working on a tool (currently named "Rosetta") to take raw data from data loggers for conversion to NetCDF for storage, as opposed to the ubiquitous comma separated value (CSV) format. From the post you mentioned, it looks like H. Joe Lee has data embedded in an XML format, and that is being read and re-written in HDF format. You can generate and modify NetCDF from NcML, but I wouldn't recommend it as a primary data acquisition model.
