I see you have run the "configure" script and "make check" for the libraries
you are installing, but did you also run "make install" to actually install
them in the directories mentioned in the error messages below? They may need
to be installed before you can compile libcf.
We have no knowledge of the "coawst" software that you are using to configure
and install various libraries, or whether the result is usable for the Intel
mpif90 compiler that fails to recognize the needed libraries.
The staff member who used to develop and maintain libcf is no longer employed
at Unidata, so our ability to support the beta-test version of that software
is currently very limited. It's possible you would have better luck with the
latest beta-test version of libcf, available from:
ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/libcf/libcf-1.0-beta10.tar.gz
which looks like a more recent version than the daily snapshot you were using.
