Sorry, but we were not able to complete a successful build from the Gohlke download either, because it apparently depended on some other software that we did not have installed. We're unable to answer questions about building from that port. However, we have just announced availability of a release candidate for netCDF version 4.2.1 that has been ported to Windows: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/mailing_lists/archives/netcdfgroup/2012/msg00203.html This has some advantages over Gohlke's port: - Unidata is committed to provide user support for this port. - It has bug fixes, performance enhancements, and new features not available in the 4.1.3 version of netCDF from over a year ago. - Future changes to the software will be tested before release in a Windows development environment, to make sure they don't break the Windows port. My recommendation is to build the netCDF-4.1.2 C library from this release candidate or from the final release, which may be the same if we don't get significant bug reports. Then get one of the two separate netCDF-Fortran releases (4.2 or 4.4-beta1) http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/downloads/netcdf/netcdf-fortran/ and build that, specifying where the netCDF-C library on which it depends was installed. Good luck, and let us know if you run into problems with version 4.2.1! --Russ Russ Rew UCAR Unidata Program address@hidden http://www.unidata.ucar.edu Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: EYK-498207 Department: Support netCDF Priority: Normal Status: Closed
