Howdy Heinz-Dieter! Wow, what a strange problem. None of the test executables are working for you: FAIL: tst_h_files /bin/sh: line 5: 24796 Segmentation fault ${dir}$tst FAIL: tst_h_files2 /bin/sh: line 5: 24801 Segmentation fault ${dir}$tst FAIL: tst_h_atts /bin/sh: line 5: 24806 Segmentation fault ${dir}$tst FAIL: tst_h_atts3 etc. What could cause such a thing? When I build netCDF with the same options I am using, everything works for me. You say that make check passed for HDF5 with this compiler and these settings? Are you sure that the HDF5 library was built with the same compiler? Thanks, Ed Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: QUS-980460 Department: Support netCDF Priority: Critical Status: Closed
