[netCDF #YWN-562827]: configuring netCDF

Hi Yvonne,

There are two ways to set environment variables, depending on which shell you
are using.  See:

In summary, since you are apparently using csh, you will need to use something
like

  setenv CXX g++

before running "make clean" and rerunning the "configure" script.

Note there is no "=" symbol in csh syntax for setting environment variables.
