[netCDF #RQJ-625597]: cannot read or write netcdf files (Linux)

Cameron,

If you try to display the data using the ncdump utility on your
platform, does it show non-zero values?

Are you calling the read_netcdf subroutine with values for t_len,
surface_len, latitude_len, and longitude_len that match what is in the
file for the lengths of the associated dimensions?

I don't see anything wrong with your program.  Do the Fortran tests
work OK on your platform when you run "make check" in the fortran
subdirectory of the source distribution?  Make sure you are using the
same compiler flags as get used in running "make check" in the fortran
directory.
