Cameron, If you try to display the data using the ncdump utility on your platform, does it show non-zero values? Are you calling the read_netcdf subroutine with values for t_len, surface_len, latitude_len, and longitude_len that match what is in the file for the lengths of the associated dimensions? I don't see anything wrong with your program. Do the Fortran tests work OK on your platform when you run "make check" in the fortran subdirectory of the source distribution?
