[netCDF #GAW-821062]: netcdf on Mac OS X

I meant to mention also, that if you want a binary distribution, here's another
possibility:

These were compiled on Mac OS X 10.4. The PPC code was compiled on a G5 and the
Intel code on a
MacBook, then both were linked together into a "fat binary" on the G5.

The Fortran interfaces were compiled in, and passed the functional test in the
NetCDF
makefiles, but they have not been tested against any external Fortran code.
