Hi Erik, > Will the binary for the power-mac work enven though this is an intel > machine? I don't think so. The ncdump and ncgen utility programs may work under Rosetta on MacOS X, but I think you would have problems linking applications with the PowerPC libraries. Also the binaries for Mac OS X don't have a Fortran interface, because Mac OS X doesn't come with a Fortran compiler. But that's OK, the netCDF 3.6.2 souces build and install out of the box on Mac OS X, so it's pretty easy to get going, depending on what Forrtan compiler you have installed. I think for WRF, you probably want the Intel Fortran compiler, ifort. This works fine with gcc, according to this user report: http://www.atmos.ucla.edu/~fovell/WRF/WRF_ports.html --Russ Russ Rew UCAR Unidata Program address@hidden http://www.unidata.ucar.edu Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: VVZ-317713 Department: Support netCDF Priority: Normal Status: Closed
