Hi Dennis,

Unfortunately, our expert on building netCDF on Windows platforms is on
vacation for about 3 weeks.

I just searched through our recent support email and discovered we haven't
succeeded in building the new release successfully with the ifort compiler on
Windows yet, but we have been working on it with another user. It looks like
another user gave up trying to build with ifort and switched to gfortran, after
which everything worked fine.

Someone else reported that setting CFLAGS="-mp -recursive" before running the
configure script made things work better with ifort.

Someone earlier reported using a -nus flag "to get rid of spurious underscores"
but that sounds pretty drastic.

Sorry I can't be of more help[, but I'm CC:ing Ed, so maybe he can work more on
this when he returns. In the meantime, if you find a solution to getting 3.6.2
to work on Windows XP with ifort, please let us know. Thanks!
