[netCDF #SPP-891072]: configure error netcdf-3.6.1

Hi Daniel,

Sorry we haven't gotten to your question yet, there's only two of us doing 
netCDF support and we had overlapping vacations.  We don't have an openSuSe 
platfrom on which we can duplicate the problem you're seeing, but since it's 
just gcc and g95, we may be able to figure it out anyway.  I'll try to get a 
reply back to you later today.
