I should also have included these example output plots from an
application named GEMPAK that we support:
http://my.unidata.ucar.edu/content/software/gempak/examples/redbook/listgifs.php
where you can usually identify which model is used by its appearance
somewhere in the file name.
Thanks to Don Murray for suggesting the IDV gallery and GEMPAK gallery
as good examples of what "weather weenies" make regular use of.
