information available to others who want to use the PGI compilers for
netCDF, would you please tell us what the settings were for the
following environment variables:

    CC          (pgcc?)
    CFLAGS
    FC          (pgf77? pgf90?)
    FFLAGS      (-DpgiFortran?)
    CXX
