Any suggestions..... I might need more details, since I can't seem to duplicate the problem here. I just tested version 2.4-beta6 (contents of the VERSION file) on the following platform (output of "uname -a"): IRIX64 binnie 6.1 07121831 IP26 mips and it worked fine when I just ran "./configure; make all test". There were a few compiler warnings in the lex-generated code for ncgen, but otherwise it built and the tests ran OK with no changes. We don't have an SGI running IRIX 6.0.1 here, so if it's just a problem that with that version of the OS, we won't be able to duplicate it. Please send us details on - the VERSION of the netCDF-beta you are building - the output of "uname -a" - a copy of the "config.status" file that results from running the "configure" script - the exact error you see when running "make test" - the traceback you get from invoking "where" in dbx after the error and we'll try to figure out what the problem is. Thanks for helping us test the beta release. --Russ ______________________________________________________________________________ Russ Rew UCAR Unidata Program address@hidden http://www.unidata.ucar.edu
