That depends on which operating system you are interested.  For all operating
systems other than MSDOS, you build an executable version of ncdump from
source code.  If you are one of these sites, you would FTP:

pub/netcdf/netcdf.tar.Z

If you have an MSDOS machine, you can FTP an already built executable for
ncdump (ncdump.exe) from:

pub/netcdf/msdos/NCDUMP.EXE
