There is also an HDF Help Desk form if you have a forms-capable WWW browser (such as Mosaic or Netscape) at: http://hdf.ncsa.uiuc.edu:8001/helpdesk.html It doesn't sound like you even need the netCDF interface (which is what we are responsible for), so you could probably get by just building the basic HDF library.
