Russ, thanks for the patch for netcdf 2.3.2pl1, to make c++ work.  The
C++ code compiled properly after I applied the patch, and the test
program 'nctst' worked correctly.  I'll let you know if I have further
problems.

I *really* appreciate the very rapid response.
