Hi Art,

I assume Glenn Davis answered your netCDF questions about trying to write to
an open netCDF file with several processes or threads concurrently.  In
general, netCDF was designed for one writer and many concurrent readers, not
multiple concurrent writers.  It would require some redesign and probably
some additional interfaces to permit multiple concurrent writers of the same
netCDF file.
