This archive contains answers to questions sent to Unidata support through mid-2025. Note that the archive is no longer being updated. There are two problems here.
1. that variable does not appear to exist in that data set
(look at .dds instead of .ascii).
2. The server opendap code has a missing edge case for
an empty Dataset{}; it treats it as a request for the whole
dataset.
You will have to address #1. I will take care of #2.
