[netCDF #WPU-258955]: broken opendap sub-setting

oops. Forget my last message. I am simultaneously
working on your problem and one with netcdf-java
and I got my messages crossed.

I have a fix for your problem, but in the process
I discovered a major performance problem that I am
also fixing. If you need the specific fix to your problem,
let me know, otherwise I will get both fixes in the next
couple of days.
