John,
I am trying to write out a subset of the parameters in a large grib file. I get the error:
Error writing local netcdf file.
Data:noah025.grb
Variables:[Snow_Water_Equivalent, Average_layer_soil_moisture,
 Total_canopy_water_storage]
Request too big=2571264000 Mbytes, max=2000000000

Is this a hard limit? and/or is there any work around? (other than spatially subsetting the grid).

Thanks,

-Jeff
