Hi Robert, re: > I am creating netCDF, not GeoTIFF. I knew that, but I thought that your comment "my coworker did the rest" meant that s/he was converting the netCDF files that you are creating into GeoTIFF format. re: > They are 54MB. Is there a server at Unidata I can > upload to? If not I can come up with something... Unfortunately, no, we do not have an FTP server to which end users can upload content. We used to have this, but we got inundated with porn uploads, so we discontinued it... that was a looong time ago! Given that you are simply creating netCDF output using McIDAS, getting a copy from you is not needed as I can create my own, but thanks anyway. My main objective was to test to see if the IDV and McIDAS-V could use the GeoTIFFs directly. re: > My coworker I quotes below is creating kmz this way: > > "Utilize panoply (which is a NASA utility: > https://www.giss.nasa.gov/tools/panoply/) – > but its on their list of supported utilities for CDF. > > Once you select the data layer, you can export the plot as a KMZ." Ah, so the objective was/is to be able to display the products in something like Google Earth... interesting.
