[McIDAS #HGU-508073]: GeoTiff Antarctic composites

Yes, SSEC only implemented creation of GeoTIFF output ADDE datasets in a single
project, rectilinear.  I have always wondered at this approach, but I have never
felt any pressure from the Unidata McIDAS community to extend the capability
beyond this.

I am sorry to say that I do not know how to do much of anything with
the ARC viewer, sorry.

Yup, I understand the desire.

Any ideas... the first thing that comes to mind is if some other package
like the IDV and/or McIDAS-V would be able to do what you want.  I have
a feeling that this may be possible, but I'd have to check with our IDV
developer, Yuan Ho, to see if he can provide an authoritative answer.
I'll ping Yuan and poke around a bit in the IDV and then send you a follow-up
reply.
