Hi Justin, Sorry for the delay... re: > One last observation that might be helpful is that I don't have a .mcidasrc > file. Would that be of any importance in this situation? This is very strange since the first time one starts a McIDAS-X session, the .mcidasrc file should be created in the user's HOME directory. re: > I'm having trouble getting a copy of the file to get to you. I ask because of your use of the term "desktop". re: > Is there a special way I can > get the file to you from my ssh? I don't know what you mean by "my ssh", sorry. re: > Sorry if that is too vague, this working environment is still fairly new to > me. OK, no worries. I'm starting to think that your problem is caused from the environment in which you are running McIDAS. Question(s): - are you running under Windows or Linux? If Linux, what linux (output of 'uname -a')? Also, please send the output of 'env | grep ^M'. If Windows, what version of Windows and what XWindow package are you using? Comment: - as far as getting the file to me, you should be able to send it as an attachment to your email The image you were trying to IMGDISP is 1500x2500. While this is not small, it should be small enough to include as an email attachment. I really need to be able to play with the image you have so I can understand what is going wrong. If needed, I can come by (you are in COMET, correct?) and check things out in your office.
