Unfortunately, our license to distribute McIDAS-X limits us to making it
available to educational institutions.  The only exception to this
rule is we are allowed to let sites that are members in good standing 
with the UW/SSEC McIDAS User's Group have our distribution of McIDAS.

Sites like yours should contact UW/SSEC MUG directly for access to
McIDAS-X:

If your McIDAS-X installation was to be used by students in the pursuit
of a degree, we might be able to make Unidata McIDAS-X available to you.

I really wish that our situation did not preclude us from making
Unidata McIDAS-X available to you!
