Hi Sohail, re: > I have created a local ADDE dataset of TIFF images. I tried to display it > in McIDAS, but it gives a strange error :(. Here are the screen shots. TIFF is not one of the image file formats supported for ADDE serving in McIDAS-X. re: > The images i download from internet, just to check that we can display TIFF > images or not. > > I have some questions regarding tiff images. > > 1. Can we display TIFF images in McIDAS? No. Display of TIFF files is, I believe, supported in McIDAS-V, so you may want to investigate using McIDAS-V. re: > 2. Is there any TIFF data set available that gives TIFF images of cyclone? Probably, but I do not have a reference for where such a data set would be available. re: > 3. How to display the image detail information like image size i-e height, > width, dimension and other geolocations related data? Again, McIDAS-X does not support TIFF as a format that can be served by ADDE. In fact, TIFF should not have any map registration information at all. GeoTIFF has such information, and it is supported as an output format by McIDAS-X, but not as a format that it can server via ADDE. re: > Can you please guide me regarding this. Please see above.
