Hi Sohail, After our email exchange yesterday, I sent a note off to a McIDAS-X developer and the head of the Data Center at UW/SSEC asking if they knew of any ADDE server code that supports FY2G. The comment I got back was that the SSEC Data Center gets FY2G imagery in AREA format from the Australian Bureau of Meteorology (ABoM), so they may either have their own ADDE server code; software that can convert FY2G images to AREA format; and/or have an archive of FY2G imagery in AREA format. I have asked for a contact name at the ABoM, so we can find out how they are doing their conversions to AREA format. The other interesting piece of information that I got back from SSEC is that their Data Center has FY2G imagery in AREA format in their archive. This is useful since SSEC provides free access to their Data Center holdings for Unidata university sites. The access is not unlimited, but the monthly download limits are quite robust, so you should be able to get the imagery that you need/want from them ** IF they have the days/times that you want **. This Unidata news blog article describes what you will need to do to request access to the SSEC Data Center archives: https://www.unidata.ucar.edu/blogs/news/entry/free_satellite_archive_data_access Cheers, Tom -- **************************************************************************** Unidata User Support UCAR Unidata Program (303) 497-8642 P.O.
