Hi Mike, Good news (for me, at least): I found and fixed a bug in the SCMI calibration routine that I wrote. I also made small modifications to SSEC core routines that were needed for full listings using IMGPROBE (mcgetscantime.for) and to implement a fix that was made at SSEC but has not been released yet (abincalb.inc). The change in the SCMI calibration routine corrects a BONEHEAD mistake that I made in a section that is only exercised when an SCMI image has been IMGCOPYed to an AREA dataset and then interrogated by IMGPROBE. I have done some simple tests of IMGCOPYing NPGOESR full disk images to a local AREA dataset (MYDATA/IMAGES); IMGDISPed the original and copy into succeeding frames using the exact same load; drawn maps over both; and IMGPROBEd both at identical locations to make sure that the values I get in the original and copy are the same. I cut a new McIDAS-X distribution, v2017a, and put it out in the Downloads area of our web site. I have also created an update file, mcupdate.tar.gz, that can be used to update an existing v2017 installation by: <as 'mcidas> cd ~mcidas/mcidas2017/update -- download mcupdate.tar.gz -- download mcupdate -- make sure that mcupdate is executable ./mcupdate cd ../src make && make install The full distribution tar file, mcidasx2017.tar.gz, contains all of the updated code, so you can also do: <as 'mcidas'> cd mcidas2017/src make clobber cd ~mcidas -- download mcidasx2017.tar.gz ./mcunpack cd mcidas2017/src make && make install Please let me know the results you see after upgrading...
