Hi Kwan,
re:

Most (but not all) Linux distributions come with a utility named 'locate'.
If the system is setup to index its content (this is automatic on most
Linux systems that have locate, but it is not guaranteed), then you
can run:
locate yacc
If things are setup, you would get a listing that looks something like:
mcidas@odroidU3:~$ locate yacc
/etc/alternatives/yacc
/etc/alternatives/yaccman
/home/mcidas/mcidas2015/hdf/mfhdf/ncgen/lexyacc.com
/home/mcidas/mcidas2016/hdf/mfhdf/ncgen/lexyacc.com
/usr/bin/bison.yacc
/usr/bin/yacc
/usr/include/gtk-3.0/gtk/a11y/gtkentryaccessible.h
/usr/share/automake-1.14/am/yacc.am
/usr/share/bison/yacc.c
/usr/share/man/man1/bison.yacc.1.gz
/usr/share/man/man1/yacc.1.gz
/usr/share/medit/language-specs/yacc.lang
/usr/share/vim/vim74/indent/yacc.vim
/usr/share/vim/vim74/syntax/ayacc.vim
/usr/share/vim/vim74/syntax/yacc.vim
/var/lib/dpkg/alternatives/yacc

The stripped down cshrc file that I sent did basically assumed that the
packages that are needed for a build were installed in normal system
locations and so the utilities will be found by virtue of the standard
PATH that is defined by the system for all users.
Cheers,
Tom
