Hi Mary Ellen, re: > Hi, wondering if you can answer a question for me. We want to give > access to our ingestor data feed to colleagues for a temporary period > of time only. Exactly how are you intending to give access to your "ingestor data feed"? re: > Do you have any suggestions on I could employ to shut > off their access after the agreed upon time frame? My concern is that > once the IP address is shared then access could be regained at any time. If you are referring to feeding the data via the LDM, then you have a couple of options: - ALLOW feed REQUEST(s) in the ~ldm/etc/ldmd.conf file You can comment out the ALLOW (and restart the LDM) when you no longer want the colleagues to access the feed(s). - allow/deny the access to the data in your firewall Comment: - if you are thinking about feeding the data you are ingesting from the NOAAPort SBN using the LDM, you should be aware that I tried to feed from you and did not have good luck since ** apparently ** your outbound bandwidth is very limited and/or the security inspection imposed on the traffic slowed the feed down to the point that it was unusable Again, exactly how are you planning/wanting to share the data with your colleagues?
