Hi again Derek,

Quick follow-up:

The GeoTiff image that I tried attaching to my previous response was too
large for the limits imposed by our mail system (2 MB).   To get around this, 
I uploaded the image to our RAMADDA server on motherlode.unidata.ucar.edu.
Here is how to grab it:

motherlode.unidata.ucar.edu

RAMADDA Data Repository -> Unidata -> Software -> McIDAS-X -> Data -> Imagery ->
GeoTiff -> IDD UNIWISC Global Composite IR in GeoTiff Format
