OK. re: > Could you send me what it takes to get it etc. First, you need to register with the Unidata website: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu Click on the login link at the top right of our HomePage and follow instructions for registering with the site. NB: please make sure that you specify your institutional affiliation as be a degree granting educational institution. Users from U.S. universities who are appropriately listed in the registration information are given automatic access to Unidata McIDAS Second, after registering with our site, login and then proceed to: Downloads -> McIDAS Download the source distribution to the HOME directory of the user 'mcidas' on your *nix (Unix/Linux) system. Also download the 'mcunpack' script and mcinet2009.sh script. Change the read/write/execute mode of 'mcunpack' so that you can run it. Finally, define the environment variable McINST_ROOT to be the HOME directory of 'mcidas' and then run 'mcunpack'.
