In fact, you could setup an ADDE dataset definition that has a single file as its set of files, and then change that file for each member of your archive. The easiest way to do that would be to change a soft link in a script before running the script for each new file to be converted. The crux of the problem is that "something" needs to be able to convert between the raw values stored in the file and the calibrated values that they represent.
