Hi Brendon, re: > I believe there is a problem with BLIZZARD/G7-IR-4K on adde.ucar.edu. > Typically, I see images from 17:01, 17:31, and 18:01 Z, This is the correct set of times for the BLIZZARD/G7-IR-4K datastet. > but this time I > am seeing that image 2 is also 17:01: > > [bhoch@cyclone ~]$ imglist.k BLIZZARD/G7-IR-4K.ALL > Image file directory listing for:BLIZZARD/G7-IR-4K > Pos Satellite/ Date Time Center Band(s) > sensor Lat Lon > --- ------------- ------------ -------- ---- ---- ------------ > 1 GOES-7 IR 13 MAR 93072 17:01:00 26 87 8 > 2 GOES-7 IR 13 MAR 93072 17:01:00 44 99 1 > 3 GOES-7 IR 13 MAR 93072 18:01:00 26 87 8 > imglist.k: done Hmm. The second image is not correct. re: > DATALOC confirms that I am pointing to adde.ucar.edu > > and only has a resolution of 480x640. Did someone accidentally > overwrite the file on the server? Please advise. Trying to use the > McIDAS tutorial in my class. Apparently, the image in question _was_ modified at 07:12 MDT on September 23. I am not sure how this could happen as McIDAS invocations should not have write access to datasets hosted on remote ADDE servers. If they do, it is a bug that needs to be found and squashed. I restored an original copy of the image in question, and now the IMGLIST information is what it should be: % imglist.k BLIZZARD/G7-IR-4K.ALL Image file directory listing for:BLIZZARD/G7-IR-4K Pos Satellite/ Date Time Center Band(s) sensor Lat Lon --- ------------- ------------ -------- ---- ---- ------------ 1 GOES-7 IR 13 MAR 93072 17:01:00 26 87 8 2 GOES-7 IR 13 MAR 93072 17:31:00 26 87 8 3 GOES-7 IR 13 MAR 93072 18:01:00 26 87 8 imglist.k: done re: > Thanks, No worries. Question: - did you happen to run an IMGCOPY command that specified the BLIZZARD/G7-IR-4K.2 dataset element as the output? If not you, did someone in your course use it? I just want a starting point for my investigations... Sorry for the problem!
