[McIDAS #MPH-556293]: Error building mcidas2009 distribution

I was looking through the McIDAS CVS repository at SSEC yesterday afternoon
for the latest changes to code that could have anything to do with the
inability to display the HRV imagery.  So far, the routines that had 
modifications
have made no positive effect on this problem.  I will be concentrating on
this problem today and hopefully come up with a solution that I can roll into
a new Unidata McIDAS addenda.

I looked through the SSEC inquiry tracking system for reports of METEOSAT
10 problems in McIDAS, but none even hinted at not being able to display
the VIS channels.  There is obviously something wrong in one or more routines
in the Unidata McIDAS release (e.g., something was not updated to a current
version, etc.), or the problem is a subtle 32 bit vs 64 bit one.  Again, I
will be concentrating on this today...
