From the command prompt, it looks like you were logged in as the user 'mcidas', not as the user 'rod'. The commands I gave previously assumed that you were logged in as 'rod': <as 'rod' on iset2> cd $MCDATA rm -f AREA2000 AREA2001 ln -s archive/27apr2011/2011117201000i13.c01 AREA2000 ln -s archive/27apr2011/goes13.2011.117.201020.BAND_04 AREA2001 FYI: I played around with displaying radar echo isosurfaces and effective radius images in the IDV. I have attached an animated GIF of the result that shows the locations of the 50 dBz isosurfaces in relation to the locations of effective radius maxima. Just thought that this might help visualize their relative locations...
