Hi Rod, re: sorry for not remembering... > No its ok that you didnt remember. re: > But my procedure of the command to > overlay the effective radius of ice on top of the IR with the appropriate > legend I sent you before is correct? Just to confirm? There are two sections in the BATCH file where the effective radius image is combined with the IR image and then displayed: The first one is: IMGFILT LOC/AREAS.3103 LOC/AREAS.3003 LOC/AREAS.3203 FILTER=DIS 0 255 185 255 0 IMGCHA LOC/AREAS.3203 OTYPE=PRD PRDUTIL ADD LOC/AREAS.3203 1 RICE -1095 515 0 255 ERAD 10 -2139062144 IMGDISP LOC/AREAS.3203 3 LAT=30:00 86:30 EU=CLW3 SF=YES The second one is: IMGFILT LOC/AREAS.3103 LOC/AREAS.3003 LOC/AREAS.3301 FILTER=MERGE 185 255 0 IMGDISP LOC/AREAS.3301 4 LAT=34:00 88:20 GRAY=X X X 910 EU=CLW4 SF=YES MAG=3 The result of the first one is an image whose pixel values are effective radius image pixels in locations where IR BRIT values fall between 185 and 255 (which should be IR temperatures that are less than about 235K) and 0 elsewhere. The result of the second one is an image whose pixel values are effective radius image pixels in locations where IR BRIT values fall between 185 and 255 (which should be IR temperatures that are less than about 235K) and IR pixels elsewhere. This image is then displayed in frame 4 using the CLW4 enhancement and then overlain with maps and the GRAY bar which is annotated with the GRAYOVER command. Both of these sequences seem correct to me as long as you are really are looking to identify/highlight effective radius pixels where IR pixels are "cold". Does this answer your question, or am I missing something?
