Hi Randy,

This is very weird indeed. adde.ssec.wisc.edu is a clone of adde.ucar.edu
(e.g., one was created from an image of the other; both are running
Solaris x86 10), so I have no explanation why they would be different
** unless I need to restart the upper air decoder on adde.ucar.edu **.
lead4.unidata.ucar.edu is our attempt to replicate all of adde.ucar.edu's
functionality, but on a different platform (64-bit Linux instead of
32-bit Solaris). Since lead4 and adde.ssec were already configured to
decode significant level upper air data for all countries, I did not
have to run SIGCO on them like I did on adde.ucar.edu.
I will do some investigating in an attempt to understand what is happening...
In the meantime, try stopping and restarting the LDM on noaaportxcd.
This will force a restart of all McIDAS decoding and, so, will test
the possibility that the upper air decoder needs to be restarted
after making a change via SIGCO (the decoders should routinely exit
and be restarted; that is part of the XCD design).
Cheers,
Tom
