Hi Rod,

The same password?  Use the password for the user 'mcidas'
(I don't recall what that is).

The easiest way to perform the steps is:

- login as yourself on iset2

- become the user 'mcidas' using

su - mcidas

  After running 'su - mcidas' you will be prompted for
  the password for the user 'mcidas'.  After typing it
  in you will be the user 'mcidas'.

- run the steps:

cd ~/mcidas2009/src
make xrd
make install.xrd

- then 'exit' back to being yourself
