Hi Tyn, Its been a long time since we talked; I trust you are well! re: > I'm interested in the new CF-compliant IMGCOPY command & the new XRD > provided in the new McIDAS-X Fastrack version 2009.2. > > The XRD includes 3 new commands: IMGCOMBO, IMGPARM and MDSCAT. > > IMGCOMBO might be useful to stitch multiple swaths from a polar-orbiter? No, IMGCOMBO's purpose is to combine multiple single-banded images into a single multi-banded AREA file. To work, all of the images have to have the same navigation and be co-located. The MERGE_POLAR command might be useful for you as it is supposed to merge multiple polar orbiter images into a single image. I will add this into my distribution if it doesn't have too many errors when compiling (the XRD routines are available as is -- some have significant problems when running on platforms that don't match the original). The fully supported command that you can use straight off is IMGREMAP. All you need to do is find/create/define the area in which you want the composite and then use IMGREMAP with the MERGE= keyword to combine the multiple passes. re: > Anyhow, could you make this available pls? I am working on incorporating the SSEC v2009.2 mods to Unidata McIDAS right now. Yesterday, I added the IMGCOMBO, IMGPARM and MDSCAT programs and did some bug fixing on some of the XRD servers. The last bit of work needed is to incorporate SSEC's changes to the makefile that allow one to build just the routines that don't require X11. Hopefully, this work will be finished by the end of the day today. I will send you a note when it is ready to download.
