Hi, re: > I just created a new account to download Mcidas-X > You don't have permission to access /downloads/mcidas/index.jsp on > this server. > > Can you help me? Unidata is licensed by UW/SSEC (the owner's and primary developers of McIDAS) to distribute our version of McIDAS, Unidata McIDAS-X/-XCD to educational institutions. All others (e.g., NASA, NOAA, EPA, private businesses, etc.) must contact the McIDAS Users Group (MUG) at UW/SSEC directly to get licensed for McIDAS use. Upon joining the MUG at UW/SSEC, and for as long as a site is a member of good standing in the MUG, sites that would otherwise not be allowed access to Unidata McIDAS can download the code from us. This can be useful as Unidata McIDAS is a superset of the distribution from SSEC. The contact information you will need at UW/SSEC for McIDAS licensing is: McIDAS Users Group <address@hidden> For your convenience, I have CCed the MUG folks on this reply. > Thanks I am sorry that we could not be of more immediate help.
