Hi Paul,
Ah Ha!
Evidently someone commented out the following pqact invocation in
/home/ldm/etc/ldmd.conf:
#exec "pqact"
This invocation uses patterns in /home/ldm/etc/pqact.conf, and it is that file
that runs the McIDAS-XCD ingesters:
#
## McIDAS-XCD
#
IDS|DDPLUS ^.* PIPE
xcd_run DDS
HRS ^.* PIPE
xcd_run HRS
Without these invocations of xcd_run, no data will be available to the McIDAS
decoders, so no decoded POINT (MDXXnnnn) files will be created.
I uncommented the exec line in question and restarted your LDM. McIDAS POINT
files are now being created, so your generation scripts that plot surface
data should start working soon. The upper air plots will begin working once
new upper air data is received later today.
Cheers,
Tom
